Pros

Some really great people are employed. You will form a working relationships with some of the smartest people in the industry.

Cons

There is little direction from management. The direction that is given can almost be equated to that of a Dilbert comic strip. The decisions can change, take forever, and usually don't make practical sense if they knew what your job really consisted of. If you qualify for overtime, you will work 40 hours and get to go home happy. If you do not qualify for overtime, you will work close to 60 hours or more a week carrying the work load of 2 to 4 people depending on the projects at that time.

Advice to Management

Make sure all levels of management are performing as expected. The current metric system does not seem to be accurately reporting the problems with mid to low tier management. Be conscious of work place stigmas and perceptions of management. Possibly perform skip level meetings or have managers from other departments interview employees if that helps them be more truthful. Analyze and implement a metric system that accurately displays the amount of work being performed by the employees and act upon those metrics. Hire more, hire talent, and pay respectively.

I worked at BE Aerospace as an intern

    Pros

Was given responsibility and real work to do as an intern. Great first time aerospace industry experience.

    Cons

Intern program was not structured as far as guidance/support. Feels like you are off just doing your own thing.

I have been working at BE Aerospace full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Lots of hours, co workers are friendly and humble. The day that I quit was the happiest I had been since I started there.

    Cons

There is no communication between the assembly workers and management, they could care less about you.
Which means your are completely in the dark about whats going on in the company.
Long hours, which equals very little free time outside of work.
Low pay, I started out at 10.41 an hour which is garbage pay.
No explanation of why we worked so many over time hours.
No real union, to go along with your team leads who are also in the union will get you in trouble with management, so the there is no real brotherly union that looks out for you.
30 minutes for lunch on a 10 hour day.
Quality did not matter it was all about quantity.
    Micro managed.
Very little respect from corporate to the production workers.
