I have been working at BJ's Wholesale Club full-time (More than 5 years)

Pros

health insurance, 401K, free membership, some managers are really good, trusting that you can do your job based on what you've done in your career

Cons

politics and playing favorites, some managers are over bearing and don't know how to manage, because some one is good and making widgets doesn't mean he/she will be able to successfully manage others at making them, getting a decent manager is a crap shoot, just keep your fingers crossed

Advice to Management

recognize those who help the company, not just those who are in favor with senior leaders

I have been working at BJ's Wholesale Club part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

There are nice people who work here.

    Cons

Under paid, you only get a free membership for working here, no discounts and the produce is just ok. Very unhealthy foods and mostly processed, no gluten free or natural section. They seem to be behind the times when it comes to food shopping.

    Advice to Management

Lazy workers and you have to make up for them...

I have been working at BJ's Wholesale Club part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Overnight stocker deals with no customers, dress code is a little more relaxed, holiday pay is great and the overnight shift differential pay is very nice, treats employees well, you get a paid day off on your birthday always has bread and peanut butter and jelly in the break room in case you forget your lunch, every Thursday the overnight crew gets a hot lunch made in store, overnight managers are laid back and easy going and all around fun

    Cons

hours are infrequent, they don't pay based on experience, get yelled at if you reach anywhere close to 40 hours, a lot of lifting, smoke free (can't even smoke outside)
