Approves of CEO

Pros

Excellent leadership at executive level
Great work-life balance
collaborative, supportive team environment

Cons

In a word, bureaucracy (at the mid-level professional level)
There are too many 'experts' (SMEs) in the mid-level roles throughout the company, and they must get involved in every decision that touches their role. Unfortunately, these experts typically serve to complicate things and are rarely able to provide an answer with involving other experts.

Advice to Management

Trim the fat at the mid-level corporate/T&O management levels.

    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

For the most part, excellent co-workers and managers. Top tier company. Access to tools and information providing opportunity for success.

    Cons

Beware, a promotion into the wrong dept can result in a 25 year career coming to a quick end. One insecure manager can derail years of good work.

    Advice to Management

Check the facts when a subordinate comes to you and wants to force a seasoned employee into early retirement. You may be letting the wrong person go.

    Approves of CEO

    Pros

    --- Diverse culture
    --- people orientated
--- have a real team work environment
--- working time is flexible depending on your needs

    Cons

--- compensation package is not that attractive
--- Would move a large part of its headoffice to mississauga, which is a long way to commute

    Advice to Management

Interview process is too long, maybe due the inefficiency of its official hiring agent (don't remember what it is called)
