I worked at BNP Paribas full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Generally talented workforce; not difficult to shine if you're prepared to speak up. I enjoyed working here because I'm not afraid to confront, what I would consider, poor decisions. I felt my input was welcomed, especially from the British and Anglophile management.

    Cons

Some weak management which affects the delivery of strategy. Lots of passive aggressive managers who consider themselves god like but are actually quite easy to read / play. Scary amount of work being moved to India, where there is a very poor technical level of staff.

    Advice to Management

Set clear and achievable objectives that at shared at strategic level. Think about the outcome of your India off shoring before putting all your eggs in one basket.

    Cons

Not the biggest payer in investment banking particularly with regard to bonus.

Can be very "red tape" oriented which is difficult for front-line staff.

    Advice to Management

Broaden the culture and nationality mix at the highest level - the group operates globally but is
