    Disapproves of CEO

I have been working at BNY Mellon full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

It's slightly better than unemployment, although I question that sometimes.

    Cons

The pay scale is very low...no where near industry average. Most of the employees there are seniors that been with the company so long that when they were hired degrees wasn't mandatory, so they'll pretty much take anything. They can't attract new talent to save their lives. They don't plan on being competitive and retaining employees,bc they can outsource their work to India which is less expensive. Most of their work is going to India as we speak. The Valley Forge/kop office is filled with individuals who would accept anything for working.

The longer you stay the harder it will be to leave.

    Advice to Management

Invest in your employees and focus on employees retention.

I have been working at BNY Mellon full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Free water - they make you pay for coffee though.

    Cons

Nobody knows what is going on. Management is schizophrenic. Turnover is high. Everything is being outsourced to India. Policies and procedures being put into place test the limits of common sense. Raises are about 1% a year and they delay them at will. There is no room for advancement because people who quit are not replaced. This leads to the rest of the team doing double the work for no more pay. Needless to say, morale is awful.

    Advice to Management

Just sell the asset servicing business to the highest bidder. It's obvious you don't want it.
