I have been working at BNY Mellon full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great benefits and work/life balance. If you have motivation to move up, the opportunities are there, however opportunities are opened by tenure, not talent.

    Cons

Huge company that's easy to get "lost" in. Slow to change.

    Advice to Management

Good strides are being make toward career development and performance management. But just because a person is good a his/her job doesn't necessarily mean that person would be a good manager.

    Neutral Outlook

I worked at BNY Mellon full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Was a great company for advancement before merger, managers provided career advice.

    Cons

Senior Management does not provide career guidance, the motto use to be what you know, and now it is who you know experience no longer a criteria.

    Advice to Management

Senior Management should attend mandatory seminars to promote professional environment
