No opinion of CEO

I have been working at BNY Mellon full-time (More than 5 years)

Pros

There is still reasonable job stability at the company, especial for auditors and people doing regulatory work. Excellent benefits and even some company matching contributions to the 401(k) plans.

Cons

Mellon was family friendly, very understanding about when people with kids were available for travel When BNY took over, that changed completely.

Advice to Management

Make it easier for employees to move between departments. Even lateral moves have become difficult to achieve, which is too bad. Sometimes that sort of transfer helps you keep a good employee for a long-time.

I have been working at BNY Mellon full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

As a global leader in investment management/custody services, BNY Mellon employees are exposed to a number of different banking/investment related fields at the institutional and individual client level.

    Cons

Salary is on the lower side of competitive and the company fails to retain top talent by failing to invest in the development of younger professionals.

    Advice to Management

To be the best, you need to have the best people working for you. BNY Mellon proprietary funds significantly and routinely underperform benchmarks. Invest in people and technology to expand your market share and investment capabilities.
