I have been working at BNY Mellon full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Proximity to transportation. On-site cafeteria. Part time work for full time pay.

    Cons

Staff and management are so dispersed between NY, NJ, PA, FL, and India it requires 24x7 conference calls, emails and instant messaging. Management uses instant messing to make sure their staff are working. Take a 10 minute bathroom break and expect a "where were you" message. 2% raises if or whenever the chairman decides to give one (12,15, 24, 36 months). Annual reviews that have no meaning and no connection to raises and bonuses. Working from home is not monitored and very abused. Working every weekend without any recognition. Monthly job eliminations. Animosity and power grabs between "merged" BNY, Pershing, Mellon, and Irving Trust, staff.

    Advice to Management

Pay attention to your employees' needs.
