    Negative Outlook
    No opinion of CEO

I have been working at BNY Mellon full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Many wonderful and talented people are still here who truly care about their work
    Compensation and benefits are good
Opportunities for training if you can find the time

    Cons

A maze of confusion brought about by an obsession with processes, metrics, and change management.
You can work yourself silly just trying to figure out how to get work approved, coordinated, and scheduled. Then if you've managed to navigate your way through, you'll work most nights and weekends just trying to catch up and then be held accountable for not making your numbers.
Plenty of talk but no regard for work life balance (in the technology sector)

    Advice to Management

Quantity does not equal quality. We have too many talented engineers spending most of their time bogged down with process overhead, metric measurement, and change approval. Simplification should be priority one, especially if you're serious about automation. Create dedicated, rather than virtual teams with members that can solve problems and create processes that enable engineers rather than obstruct. Perhaps create a process management team/board to clean things up and act as gatekeepers.
