Current Employee - Directory Services Administrator in Houston, TX
    Recommends
    Approves of CEO

    Pros

They hire from the contractor pool when the need fits, keeping people who are at the top of their game.

    Cons

They often let good employees leave if the budget does not allow for hiring, creating a higher turnaround than needed.

    Advice to Management

Allow for stretching of positional budgets to allow retention of key employees. This may raise the budget overall, however the quality of the work returned will be much higher.

Current Employee - Anonymous Employee in Houston, TX
    Doesn't Recommend
    Disapproves of CEO

    Pros

Good benefits and a good place to start your career. Certain functions still have a healthy culture and friendly atmosphere.

    Cons

The middle management is ridiculous. HR is a complete nightmare. IT is getting better but still terrible and slow. When business is suffering there seems to be no immediate reaction to fix challenges due to politics.

    Advice to Management

Why the Schlumberger model still? The geo model isn't efficient. Are you trying to kill me?
    Sincerely,
    Your profit margins
