I have been working at Baker Hughes as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Everyone was very willing to help and share information. They treated us very well and provided classes and travel opportunities for us to learn and gain hands on experience.

    Cons

They really tried to sell the company to us and to teach us about their products, but I guess that's expected. Other than that it was a fun and educational experience.

I have been working at Baker Hughes full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good people, pay check, travel, opportunity to figure out what you really want to do in the oilfield.

    Cons

long days, a lot of highway time on dangerous roads, salary means no overtime, on call basically all the time, they run you hard, bit records are rediculous, not really a sales job because Baker bits sell themselves ? :)

    Advice to Management

Pay more. Help reps figure out next step and move them up fast.
