I have been working at Bank of America full-time (More than 10 years)

Pros

Good salary and benefits, work from home capabilites

Cons

laid off many workers so be expected to do more with less, work life balance is not there in some areas of technology.

Advice to Management

dont take advantage of the economy to scare folks, they will leave for better employers even if it means a paycut.

I worked at Bank of America part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Hours, benefits, they do tuition reimbursment for part timers and paid vacation

    Cons

Tellers are required to reach referral goals. Stressful environment. My branch was VERY STRICT. All the tellers hated working there. If I did not sell a credit card account or money market account in one day I would need a coaching session on what I was doing wrong. The customers just honestly don't want to be bothered by tellers.

    Advice to Management

Let tellers tell and sellers sell. People want to make their transactions and get out of there so it is very hard for a teller to sell something to a customer who wants to make a simple transaction. Customers have cursed me out.

I have been working at Bank of America full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Great pay, opportunities to move around within the large organization.

    Cons

Employees are highly expendable with re-structures and downsizing. Planned 30,000-40,000 reduction in force while running adds about community support and responsibility.
