I have been working at Bank of America full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

There are a myriad of opportunities that come with size. When hiring picks back up I would certainly consider moving around.

    Cons

This is an old-fashioned bank in every sense of the word. Every decision is a committee decision. There is fear throughout the company in making a decision. Senior management seems to understand very little beyond how simple interest works in a money market.

Reducing headcount and doubling forecasting requirements won’t bode well for our ostriches in senior management. When unemployment numbers improve I think they’ll be surprised.

    Advice to Management

Senior management, step out of your comfort zone; learn investments, mortgage, etc. I'm glad you still are able to take your vacations. You should be ashamed that those under you can't.
