I worked at Bank of America full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

A definite focus on work life balance which is very important to me as a company should work to retain employees who value their work AND their personal lives.

    Cons

The salaries are relatively low and I felt some of the management team did not belong there.

    Advice to Management

Be very careful who gets promoted into leadership roles. It should be based the individuals ability to work well with others and who team members respect. It is important to understand most individuals that are only interested in climbing the corporate ladder will seem like great candidates to you (because you're the boss and the only one they are trying to impress) but they may not prove to be good leaders in the long run.

I have been working at Bank of America full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Solid benefits, talented team members, experienced senior managers

    Cons

The bank is slowly reducing the quality of benefits whether it be retirement or health insurance benefits. They are better than industry standards but it would be nice for the bank to be a leader in benefits rather than trying to fit in with the pack.

    Advice to Management

Reduce the number of consultants used. In many cases time and money is wasted on consultant projects just for the strategy to change meaning countless hours and dollars have gone down the drain.
