I have been working at Bank of America full-time (More than 8 years)

Pros

Tremendous opportunities. Very large, complex, and challenging technology environments. Talented co-workers. Team-oriented. Past mgmt (Ken Lewis) great visionary; Moynihan less so. Feds/ regulators have jackboot on neck of mgmt. Requiring all resources to compliance and regulation that's thwarting new products and services. Intent is it to make bank smaller and out of "too big to fail" category.

Cons

small fish in a big pond. impossible to impact bottom line of corporation so focus must be individual and organization-centric goals and accomplishments;

Advice to Management

promote and encourage each organization to create unique, well articulated and understood cultures; this will strengthen relationships within organizations.

    I worked at Bank of America full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Decent pay
    Liked the hours
    Great co-workers

    Cons

    Forced to stand all day, even when other banks had compassion for their tellers and let them have chairs.
    Some of the managers have a "God complex"
    Rude customers

    Advice to Management

    Let your tellers sit, like every other bank. When I worked there, I had serious back problems, but at my location, chairs were taken away because of some crap "Customer Delight" score. Had I known this, I would not have accepted the job. Ended up having to leave because, even after a note from my doctor, I was still forced to stand.
