I worked at Bank of America full-time (More than a year)

Pros

Pay scale is good and that is about it.

Cons

Poor corporate culture that lacks open communication. B of A has acquired so many companies that programs, systems and procedures are outdated. The company does not encourage communication or new ideas for improvements. Customer service and internal moral thus suffer. The company appears to be a dinosaur that is on its way out if it does not grow with the times.

Advice to Management

Create an environment that encourages open communication. Update your outdates computer systems and programs.

I worked at Bank of America full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

A definite focus on work life balance which is very important to me as a company should work to retain employees who value their work AND their personal lives.

    Cons

The salaries are relatively low and I felt some of the management team did not belong there.

    Advice to Management

Be very careful who gets promoted into leadership roles. It should be based the individuals ability to work well with others and who team members respect. It is important to understand most individuals that are only interested in climbing the corporate ladder will seem like great candidates to you (because you're the boss and the only one they are trying to impress) but they may not prove to be good leaders in the long run.
