I worked at Bank of America part-time (More than 5 years)

Pros

Flexible work hours and tuition reimbursement is offered to those who are pursuing a business degree. Paid holidays off, and not strenuous work or heavy/stressful workload.

Cons

Very political, depends on the banking center manager. Some centers have managers who micro-manage. Not much room for growth into the corporation, just into the banking centers/frontline.

Advice to Management

Keep your employees happy and reward them for their excellent work.

I have been working at Bank of America full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Since it is a large company they are always hiring for some position or the other. The benefits are good and the ability to work from home is an added bonus...of course the WFH option is not available to everyone

    Cons

The company is very large. If your manager is not constantly pushing to get you up in the ranks, you will meander along for ever

    Advice to Management

Understand the skills of all your associates. Ensure information is being shared across all levels as to your plans.

I worked at Bank of America full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Excellent benefits, great banking center hours, good resources.

    Cons

Most unprofessional bank. Management was not informative. On my second day, i had to ask an associate what the morning signal was. You'd think thats the first thing they tell you on your first day of work. Due to budget cuts, all training was done online. I spent 5 days reading policies and procedures on the internal website. On my 5th day, I was already told to open new accounts. I did not get to shadow anyone at all. I previously worked at other financial institutions and i have never experience such terrible training before.

    Advice to Management

Great people, but lack of professionalism. If you want your employees to stay, then guide and support them.
