I have been working at Bank of America part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great company to put on your resume. Depending on which location (affluent or busy city), you can meet a lot of powerful people. Easy to get hired if you pass the actual recruitment process. Decent pay compared to the starting wage of other large financial institutions. Great ability to build a career and advance within 1 year if you work well and kiss up a bit.

    Cons

Company is solely and widely numbers driven. Upper management constantly dishes order and goals in which they do not provide any assistance or directions as to how to acheive the goals. Vacation, personal, and sick days are like committing murder, especially if you work in a branch that is low staffed. Most likely your branch will be low staffed because of company wide budget cuts.

    Advice to Management

Increase staffing your branches. Management complains about customer treatment and dissatisfaction. Well customers will comtinue to be dissatisfied if the banking centers aren't properly equipped with staff to perform transactions!

    Pros

    Fortune 500 company!
    Many different departments
    Several company benefits.

    Cons

Not enough guidance from management to grow in the company.

    Advice to Management

Management/leadership needs to coach and show more care about the staff!
