I have been working at Bank of America full-time (More than 5 years)

Pros

Very proactive senior management - they take active steps to manage risk pro-actively (not merely hedging but actively taking risk as well)
Very good feedback loop - feedback works on 360 (steps are taken by senior management to address issues on which adverse feedback has been received from juniors)
Fair compensation - at par with peers and good visibility vs performance

Cons

Support functions are excessively bureaucratic.
Can be slow to venture into new areas / sieze new opportunities.
Still in the process of 'right sizing' - that means managing VaR, capital ratios and headcount.

I worked at Bank of America full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Good team work from most co workers in your reporting structure. Difficult to be separate from head quarters because you are not prioritized.

    Cons

Sometimes hard to find the resources you need to accomplish your goals when the group is outside of your reporting structure. Have to beg and borrow just to get someone to pay attention.

    Advice to Management

Free up some capacity in precious resource areas, like IT, so that the employees that want to stretch beyond their everyday work have the opportunity.
