I have been working at Bank of America full-time (More than 8 years)

Pros

Wide range of opportunities and a very politically correct culture. Bank of America has embraced the flexible work culture, and many employees can work form remote satellite sites or from home via telecommuting. Lots of work to still be done in merging processes and technology from years of mergers and acquisitions. Good benefits package

Cons

Diminishing vertical movement due to layoffs aimed at middle and upper management across the board. Consumer banking is a hectic culture, but the remainder of the bank has great work-life balance. Bonuses and increases have been lackluster in last few years. Remains to be seen if that will change now that stock is rising.

Advice to Management

refocus on retaining your high performers, and continue narrowing the priorities and investing in technology consolidation

I worked at Bank of America full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

This is a company with tons of growth opportunity and great benefits for both part time and full time employees. They recognize talent and promote often. There are many lines of business you can explore and they even have work from home options depending on the division you're in. Salary is aggressive, competitive and the bonus structure is fair.

    Cons

This is a volatile industry. Sinking stock prices often result in sweeping layoffs across the company, so it's rare to feel secure in your role. Goals can be very fluid and hard to attain as they change often.

    Advice to Management

    Reward a strong work ethic.

I have been working at Bank of America part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Flexible to work with your schedule. Many locations that you are able to transfer to if there is a change in your life. The pay is good once you first start.

    Cons

The goals are unrealistic and there is little to no coaching. Supervisor will complain about sale numbers you ask what to do better response will be sale more. All chance for opportunities are full time no chance for part time to move up.

    Advice to Management

Looking in to make sure that the supervisor are doing a good job. Take associates aside and ask if they feel that the supervisor are doing enough to help them be successful.
