I worked at Bank of America full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The company offers good benefits, which include a matching 401k, pension, health insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and discounts on banking services. The department has many talented and experienced professionals and they are willing to help each other and share knowledge.

    Cons

There are limited opportunities for career development or advancement in the legal department and it is difficult to move into other practice areas within the department or outside the department to gain new experience. Frequent layoffs in the corporation and the department create a sense of job insecurity, which lowers morale.

I have been working at Bank of America full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The benefits are good and some positions allow you to work from home.

    Cons

A ton of office politics compared to most places, management lacks education and experience, and pay is below average. Instead of recognizing training issues management will punish you for their lack of consistency and misguidance. The ability to move up on the company isn't based on your credentials but based on who you know.

    Advice to Management

Recognize those who deserve it and train management properly.
