I worked at Bank of America full-time (More than a year)

Pros

I found Bank of America an excellent company to work for. There training is an in depth and there trainers quite knowlagable and very helpful. Monetary compensation is in line with others in the Banking industry.

Cons

Bank of American tends to hire through outside sources instead of internally.

Advice to Management

I would advise that they look a the creative talent within their own ranks instead of outsourcing.

I have been working at Bank of America full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

There is plenty of opportunities to advance your career. While the insurance is not the greatest, there are also a lot of other corporate perks such as discounts to several services including auto insurance, child care and phone.

    Cons

As a whole the company is very hard to work with. While there are opportunities to advance, a lot of them require relocation. Also the company has a hard time keeping their policies strait and end up contradicting their own instructions. Additionally, their training is all system training and nothing relating to soft skills such as talking to customers.

    Advice to Management

Work to align policies so that all departments are on the same page. Also, set realistic expectations of your employees and their workload.

I have been working at Bank of America full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Easy to move up, Lots of opportunity to grow if your CMM lets you.

    Cons

Upward mobility is not solely based on your ability to do the job. There is a lot of bureaucracy and they are really serious about your "# of months/years of experience" and not on how and knowledge of the job.

    Advice to Management

Continue to promote from within if it is better for the company/branch
