I worked at Bank of America full-time (More than 5 years)

Pros

Nice Benefits, Pay was far, training was good and timely, many talented individuals within the company, merit is an important aspect

Cons

by nature the loan servicing industry is horrible, government guidelines and regulations are often intrusive into business operations. One can review many loan servicers and see a constant complaint from employees or former employees of too much change. This is not a business decision --- It is the government protecting the consumer....IF you as an individual do not like or handle change well then loan servicing is not the career you should take.

Advice to Management

I like this company,,,Clearer direction

    Pros

    Compensation, benefits, technology, teammates, clients

    Cons

Depending on your immediate leader and how they handle pressure from above will determine how happy and appreciated you will be. Today's environment is perform perfect or be. Managed out the door. Not much reward or recognition .

    Advice to Management

Take a strong look at your field leadership and how your associates are managed.

I worked at Bank of America full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Decent Benefits. Four weeks vacation plus two weeks of sick time was really great for taking care of my young kids. I had a couple of really outstanding managers but I'm not sure that's the norm.

    Cons

Exceptionally rigid bureaucracy at times. BAC is a behemoth so some departments don't react to customers or the market very efficiently. There are many internal controls that can be counterproductive. It is often difficult to find appropriate resources.

    Advice to Management

Empower the Associates to be able to find resources internally (intranet search) and employ a better career mapping program.
