I worked at Bank of America as a contractor (Less than a year)

Pros

An excellent opportunity to support the second largest bank in America. The size of the agency gives associates access to a wide range of resources. The systems are buttoned up and make it easy to understand the various processes.

Cons

The environment was rather corporate and the chance to be a little more casual would have been appreciated. Otherwise, there were few other cons besides being a contractor without benefits.

Advice to Management

I appreciated how management was upfront, direct and open to questions.

I worked at Bank of America full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Decent pay, friendly teammates, good work-from-home opportunities

    Cons

The constant fear of being severed (shhh, did I say that?). Severances happen almost every quarter and to get the severance you are required to sign a non-disclosure.... so it almost never appears in the media. Entire groups get wiped out, so even w/ consistently high performance appraisals you can be cut. It was the number one thing people talked about.

    Advice to Management

Go back to roots and demonstrate to the people you actually care. Because we all believe you don't.
