I have been working at Bank of America full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Benefits, holidays, vacation, sick time. It is better than most companies.

    Cons

Performance is huge. If you don't perform, or if you are not good at customer service this is not for you. Also, adherence will take a hit if you have to use the restroom. Sticking to the times of breaks and lunches is important. This is not a position that an active person should consider. I found that out really fast.

    Advice to Management

Management is great. If you do well you are rewarded, but promoting positions within the company should be a bigger priority. Many people like myself who are not made for a call center try to get into other positions within the bank. It is usually unsuccessful because branches and offices feel we have no face to face banking experience. This may be true, but we even help tellers and personal bankers over the phone. I feel the call center restricts hard workers who want to explore other options with the bank and don't want to start off at a lowly teller position due to a significant pay cut.
