Pros

Good work-life balance; growth opportunities are (just) okay

Cons

Very little pay increases, if you are lucky. Bonuses are a joke;

    I have been working at Bank of America full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    First few years at company were great because brand was strong, the mortgage division functioned well, and I loved my branch. I learned all aspects of the business and will never regret my time there. Benefits were amazing, and was able to balance work/life fairly well in my position.

    Cons

    Mortgage business is very stressful in the best of times under the best of circumstances, but when the Bank bought Countrywide their systems became completely disfunctional and our jobs in the Home Loans division become unbearable. Also, even prior to this, I was always thankful to be in a small branch away from corporate offices. It was sometimes impossible to get away from the huge company mentality, however, and difficult to get something done because of having to go through so many channels. Not a single cost of living or incentive raise in 6 years!

    Advice to Management

    Listen to your employees input. Simplify processes!

    I have been working at Bank of America full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Great benefits: health, 401k match, daycare reimbursement, adoption reimbursement, maternity leave paid.

    Cons

    Great compnay to work for but can be hard to get time off on short notice. Much more responsibility than other banks in the area. However you are paid very well.
