    Pros

We have everything you would ever need to serve clients at the highest level and do your job. Plenty of opportunity to advance. Strong benefits package but not cheap. Top quality people.

    Cons

The bank micro manages everything and everyone. Processes for accountability take away from productivity.

    Advice to Management

Find a better balance of holding employees accountable and giving the coaching they need to improve in their jobs.

I worked at Bank of America as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

The culture was ok. Not good but ok. And It was a work from home job.

    Cons

The cons -dealing with some of the folks who had worked for Country-wide. With, one exception, they had some bad habits they had picked while at Country wide, which were at odds with Bank of America procedures.

    Advice to Management

Do not buy companies.. no matter who good an idea it might seem at the time. Lay down until the feeling goes away! Also, take a good long look at a company's practices, and procedures. Do they document? Are they used to it? Ask to see who give the ok to do what!! This will require time, patience and going into the weeds, but it will be worth it. Bank of America's purchase of Countrywide was called on NPR, the worst take over of any in modern business history.
