I worked at Bank of America full-time (More than 8 years)

Pros

Outstanding benefits, the health insurance packages were incredible. The company has a great understanding for personal emergencies - I had taken maternity leave (12 weeks paid), and soon after returning to work my husband was in a major accident and on life support. BoA has an employee family benefit where they will hold your position in qualifying medical emergencies such as this, although unpaid (since my fmla had been used for the year). I'm grateful to have had such an understanding company and management team as a support in such a scary time.

Cons

Lack of career growth opportunity, feeling like a spec in a crowd.

I have been working at Bank of America full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great benefits including health insurance and paid time off for all employees, including part time associates. You also learn a lot from the very experienced associates.

    Cons

The ridiculous demands that have begun to pop up in banking centers. Associates are required to meet ridiculous sales goals and customer service goals (which do NOT go hand-in-hand as customers are beginning to feel harrassed). The pay does NOT reflect required responsibilities! Work-life balance is becomming non-existent.

    Advice to Management

Upper management really needs to spend more time working with the customer-based associates. People sitting in offices barking orders without knowing what is going on is just ridiculous.
