    Approves of CEO

I worked at Bank of Georgetown (Less than a year)

    Pros

Bank of Georgetown is a small local community bank which is still growing. There isn't as much red tape to go through like working for the big banks. The pay is slightly higher than the big banks for equivalent positions as well, but not by much. The people are great and the CEO genuinely cares about every employee.

    Cons

BOG is very frugal and doesn't spend money if they don't have to. Middle management gossips too much, the scheduling of staff between branches is a nightmare, and the growth potential is nonexistent. In my 18 months at the company there was one person promoted to assistant manager and he was essentially running the entire branch well before that. It was really more of a ceremonial promotion. The bank branches are understaffed limiting time-off requests.

    Advice to Management

Fix the scheduling issues, hire additional staff to fill gaps, don't tout internal growth if you're not going to deliver.
