Pros

The company offers flexible training for people new to the industry. Get licensed as fast as you can work or longer if that's what you need. Flexible schedule.

Cons

Salary is completely commission based. Tough industry to start unless you have a lot of contacts that you can sell to. Leads promised are not too warm. Branch is small, but no one seems to be "killing it"

Advice to Management

Some sort of better lead system especially to get new agents going would be very practical. Training and motivation is decent, fun, but somewhat trivial.

    Pros

You get to help older people that really need the advice. You get to develop a business that's your own! Never have to worry again about getting laid off or losing your job. You get out of it what you're willing to put in to it. Lengthy training and mentoring program. No cold calling. Fast promotion opportunities.

    Cons

You have to work hard but it's worth it. Steep learning curve.

    Advice to Management

Nothing, doing a great job helping people get started.

I worked at Bankers Conseco full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Meet lots of interesting people.

    Cons

Although you are told that you are a self employed entrepreneur, you are micromanaged to make sure you are at work at least 8-10 hours per day, 6 days per week. You are required to make a minimum of 300 cold calls per day.

    Advice to Management

Stop lying to people!!!! Tell them that the high salary that is dangled in front of their faces is 5-6 years down the road. That is ONLY if they are willing to work 12+ hours per day, 6 days per week.
