Positive Outlook

I have been working at Bankers Life full-time (More than a year)

Pros

Unlimited upside for compensation and day sales opportunities. do not need to work at night

Cons

Takes time to develop knowledge and revenue stream. Not for everyone

Advice to Management

Get group health insurance for 1099 sales people. Contributing to costs is great but insurability is an issue otherwise

I worked at Bankers Life full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great training. It was some of the best training I've ever had. The branch manager really cares about the agents.

    Cons

Cold calling. If you're not good at cold calling, you better get good at knocking on people's doors. There are no benefits or salary. Bonuses are very hard to get.

    Pros

Set your own schedule and claim to "be your own boss"

    Cons

    Out of pocket expenses
    Training
    Quality and Cost of leads
    Promises made by branch management
They hire anyone they can con into the "opportunity"

    Advice to Management

Branch manager promised that I would make $2,000 a month for the first 3 months or he would pay the difference. He never lived up to his promise.
