Pros

-Days can either be very easy going or very hectic.

Cons

-They push push push to sell Memberships.
-Clients treat you as if you have no feelings or emotions, very demanding, even their kids.
-Schedules change often and without notice, even after posted for a week.
-Understaffed and employees are overworked.

Have more reasonable expectations from your employees when it comes to your "membership sales goals".

    Positive Outlook
    No opinion of CEO

I worked at Barnes & Noble part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Positive work environment, fun events, sales, and deals, attractive customers, unique coworkers, always an opportunity to learn a new fun fact. Great 35% discount off everything.

    Cons

Hard to find the right person to report to at any given moment, disorienting textbook structure that varies crazily between stores (university-wise mostly).

    Advice to Management

Keep hiring younger managers, they know what we want.
