Pros

After you have had training you're on your own in your department. There is not really the opportunity to grow this position into a meaningful career.

I have been working at Bass Pro Shops as a contractor (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Decent starting pay (if you have experience), once you are hired you probably won't get fired, always someone to talk to.

    Cons

Benefits are expensive, you will be overworked (no doubt), MINIMAL training (you will be thrown to the wolves), many associates are like 3rd graders (impossible to manage), no disciplinary action taken against those who are unproductive, no specific direction is given, you are just expected to know all and when you don't, be ready for a good chewin' out, morning meetings have zero substance (just random babbling), management is corrupt, write-ups can occur out-of-the-blue! (maybe even 1 month after said incident).

    Advice to Management

Get rid of your drama-seeking, unproductive, sad excuses for employees- they are costing your store money! Be fair with your hard-working, dependable, mature employees (before they tell you to shove it)-They are the only reason you are still open!
