    Pros

Good place to get your foot in the door.

    Cons

Management impedes positive cultural changes. Old school thinking that keeps the business afloat, but stunts growth. Implements unnecessary processes.

    Advice to Management

    Neutral Outlook
    No opinion of CEO

I have been working at Bay Area News Group full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

One of the last real newspapers in the Bay Area

    Cons

Don't expect a raise and don't expect anyone to ever thank you for what you do, especially when dealing with editors in San Jose.

    Advice to Management

Stop treating employees like numbers. Occasionally ask yourself why you got into journalism.
