I worked at Baylor Scott & White Health full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Before: it was about taking pride/ownership of work, workers took ownership.pride in their work with a smile!

    Cons

Certain departments have the "my 4 & no more" clicks -supported by HR. Unfair/unjust practices/policies implemented.

    Advice to Management

Be more considerate of those who were/are loyal. Pay your employees under their own demographics; support all staff and not just doctors, directors, & managers; find out why people are leaving each department -but HEAR EVERYONE (even those who have gone). No more belittling staff in front of patients nor peers. Make it about patient care again -not herding cattle (fast isn't always good!); When one is sick and sent home/to ER, don't write them up and call it UNSCHEDULED ABSENCES -even with a doctors note; Don't block advancements. Before, it was truly A GREAT PLACE TO WORK. Ask your employees why they aren't smiling as much (without retaliation).

I have been working at Baylor Scott & White Health full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

They care about their staff, they offer bonus pay to come in for overtime, and they offer self scheduling. They have a beautiful, clean hospital, and management works very hard to make sure that their staff is well taken care of.

    Cons

Sometimes we had to work very short staffed but management continually worked for solutions.

    Advice to Management

Very pleased with Hillcrest's warm environment, keep up the good work!
