I worked at Bed Bath & Beyond part-time (Less than a year)

Pros

Your schedule can be flexible, but only if you stay on top of it. The only other pro is the employee incentive, and only if the incentive program isn't run poorly.

Cons

This company will do anything to keep their customers happy, but completely overlook the needs and morale of the staff.

Advice to Management

Take some time to listen to your employees. Treat everyone like adults and you will get the same in return.

    I have been working at Bed Bath & Beyond full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Never saying "no" to a customer. The growth of this company is incredible. Incentives are great also.

    Cons

    None really. Hours are long, but if you worked in retail before...its not bad.

    Advice to Management

    Some management gets "fast tracked" waaaay to fast and do not have all the knowledge they need to succeed. This leads to not being able to train a strong team to support you and help you run a store.My advice, learn every aspect of the business and work in it for at least 6-8 months before moving to the next...then run a store right and go to district and regional.

    Pros

    Lots of opportunity for overtime (paid at time and a half), time went quickly, no issues with pay or bad bosses

    Cons

    Schedule differed every week, had to put in a week in advance to get time off, would get in trouble if leaned on the counter between ringing up customers
