Pros

Love the dress code, flexibility and customer interactions.

Cons

Downsides, the store managers have no idea what they are doing and refused to take responsibility for their actions.

Advice to Management

It's a good transitional job. Not permanent

    Pros

Bed bath and beyond offers a decent benefits package, especially the insurance. The dress code is very casual and they are more often than not to work with you if you need some time off. The incentive program they have is quite nice also.

    Cons

Unfortunately, many of the managers are overworked due to understaffing and unrealistic expectatiions. The companies culture focuses only on the negative and you will be lucky to hear a thank you from someone higher than stroe level management. Staying late and coming in early is the expectation, and be prepared for the look if you dare to leave on time. There are more dog and pony shows in this company than the animal planet channel.

    Advice to Management

Respect your people from the newest part time employee on up. If you want to continue to offer excellent customer service then you must remember that you have to keep your employees happy. Most of all learn to say thank you. It goes a long way or does not cost anything.

    Pros

Clientele, product line, monthly incentive purchases, employee discounts, benefits package, wages, local employees, and customer service are all great benefits or programs

    Cons

Too much District staffing with poor ability to coordinate assignments. Each store has a minimum of 5 district staff people, all making demands without regard to what each other is requesting. The requirements continue to pile on and the hourly labor continues to get cut. Went from working 45 hours a week to 70 hours a week just to tread water

    Advice to Management

too many chiefs and not enough Indians. They keep piling on the work without any regard to peoples lives. There has to be a balance. Profanity from regional and district staff is awful
