Pros
None. Most of the recent high ratings you see on here are reviews lefts by Marketing and HR to offset negative reviews they had due to rounds of layoffs.
Cons
Beeline was purchased by a new private equity firm and they changed the culture of entirely. I truly believe at one time, they were true in their core principles, but that is no longer the case. They no longer “assume positive intent” with workers or have “direct communication.” There was a sales rep that was on the job for 2 years and never closed a deal. Once the new PE bought Beeline, another rep only got 6 months before firing. One of the acting directors of engineering quit on the spot (that should tell you something). Lots of turnover in addition to layoffs. One of their principles is to be “sales driven” and it leads to a culture of throwing people under the bus if they didn’t make the deal. They also do a horrible job of acquiring companies. Lead to layoffs in 2016 and this year. They don’t provide warnings or negative reviews and go straight to PIP then firing without actually helping to improve your performance. Heavily micromanaged sales team.

We appreciate your willingness to take the time to provide your feedback, however while we do this very rarely – it’s incumbent upon us to call out complete falsehoods and unfairly pernicious statements when they exist. Firstly, Marketing nor HR writes reviews to ‘offset’ negative feedback left by others. We’ve never done that – and never will, as it flies in the face of the spirit of why we partner with Glassdoor, and goes against our core tenants, two of which you call out in your review, namely direct communication and assuming positive intent. Secondly, our new ownership has had an extremely positive impact on our culture, by giving us the room and support to make investments that will ensure Beeline’s success in the future - something that gives us the confidence to enable all of our employees to be ‘owners’ in the company through our equity program. Our employee turnover has not increased drastically as a result of the unfortunate reductions we made this year. While we appreciate that might cause some concern amongst people in our organization, we also acknowledge the increased commitment from the 90% of our company that choose to continue to work with us. On that point, in your review you note that you’re a current employee who has been with us for at least three years. What’s most sad to us is that you’re feeling this way about the company you clearly once had a great affinity for, but no longer do – which is so disappointing. We never want our people to feel this way, nor that the core of our culture has been lost. Certainly, our sales organization has gone through some change in the last 12 months, but it’s all through the lens of increasing our chances for success, and growth – which only benefits everyone. One thing the team is not however, is toxic. If that’s truly something you believe, then it’s incumbent upon you to do what you say others don’t – practice ‘direct communication’, and talk about it with your manager, or HR. We will always treat that with the greatest of seriousness. In the meantime, we hope you can start to feel better about Beeline and your teammates who support you every day.
