I worked at Bell Canada full-time (More than 5 years)

Pros

Good work-life balance, unless you fall under a psychopath boss.

Cons

Bell is continuously scrambling to meet the ever-changing demands of management. The senior guys probably know where they are going, but at mid-to-junior management levels, the priorities keep changing. A month of your effort could be just dismissed, while what was NOT a top priority a month ago is suddenly a top priority..."why didn't you do that?" questions get sent your way.

At middle levels, it is more important to be on the right side. Have powerful godfathers and you will go far. If you expect your work to speak for you, good luck!

Advice to Management

Recognize talent, and provide suitable opportunities to grow talented people. I don't mean give them promotions or more money, but place them in roles where they can truly use all their skills.
