I have been working at Bell Canada full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Compensation, benefits packages and training opportunities are great. High performance culture is stimulating. Lots of opportunity to learn and grow in a cutting edge industry.

    Cons

    - High performance culture coupled with aggressive cost cutting over the last 10 years has resulted in an increasingly stressful work environment.
    - Recent removal of teleworking options are a further strain on work life balance.
    - Bell-curving at bonus time means that if too many managers perform too well, you are likely not to be compensated according to your true performance.
    - Work life balance is promoted as being important, however insufficient resources mean that any manager with a good work ethic will put in extra hours and put off taking vacation because there is so much work to do.

    Advice to Management

Curb resource reductions to ensure longer term success for the company.
