I worked at Bell Canada full-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

Some people have a sense of stability.
Good benefits.
Work and life balance.
Nice people overall.

Cons

For the most part the company does not value full time (perm) employees.
Contractors make huge money and are given the opportunity to evaluate the perm employees, which can ultimately have them terminated (fired), thus creating more work opportunity and enabling contractors to roll over their contracts. Conflict of interest? This does not exist in any other company of the same size.
HR is non-existent. In my 3 years in the company I only met a HR person during my surprise termination meeting.
Very messy systems and business processes.
If there ever was a real and healthy competition in Canada's telecom arena, and not the current cartel, this company would go down ugly.

Advice to Management

none.

    Pros

Employees with 2 months and all the way upto 30 years - this is the real resource at Bell Canada (the network is good too).

    Cons

Somedays you have to turn the Titanic around to get something done and other days - many more days - you have it all from the get go!

    Advice to Management

Continue to embrace the multiple screen drive - it will carry the apps, the videos, the customer contact and it will never be irrelevent.
