I have been working at Benjamin Moore full-time (More than 10 years)

Pros

Having a hard time finding any reason to work for this company than it provides a paycheck

Cons

CEO circus. One is inept, one treats women like they're workers at Hooters, and now another old man who ran what used to be Wilson's Leather, who went out of business!

Advice to Management

You can't run a retail company from 2000 miles away. The paint business is changing just like every other industry. If we don't adapt we'll be remembered like Wilson Leathers

    I worked at Benjamin Moore full-time

    Pros

    The people were like family. It was a large business run like a small family operation. Going in used to be a pleasure

    Cons

    New management micromanages every aspect of the company. I doubt that the "fixes" that are being implemented will be enough to fix bad management.

    Advice to Management

    Implementing change for the sake of change doesn't make the business run better. Your legacy will be the darkest period of the company's history

    I have been working at Benjamin Moore full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    Customers loyalty is by far the one good thing that they have going for them. A superb product that has a reputation of quality.

    Cons

    Everything. Arrogance, consistent micro management, lack of trust for its employee's at ALL levels, lower than average pay compared to the revenue earned, complete disconnect from its staff at the store level. Etc.

    Advice to Management

    Take a step back and look at who it is that really keeps customers coming in. Your store level employees. These are the men and women that work diligently with pay that is sub par in relation to the revenue earned on a yearly basis. Acknowledge the hard work that all to often goes unnoticed and reward them with at least a job well done rather than the standard practice of a nose turn.
