I worked at Benjamin Moore full-time (More than 10 years)

Pros

Location & free lunch...legacy employees. The only reasons to stay.

Cons

Everything & anyone hired after 2012. It's embarrassing to list this company as a previous employer with all the bad comments about it now. The company's reputation now is so bad that recruiters try to avoid placing former employees from this company or do not want to place anyone there - it's really pathetic.

Advice to Management

Sell the company!!!

I have been working at Benjamin Moore full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Free lunch, but is that really a reason to work here??

    Cons

    - Everyone is so scared of being in the next round of layoffs that nothing gets done.
    - People pretend to be nice, but are stabbing each other in the back to save themselves.
    - The direction changes very regularly and no one knows what to do, so NO ONE DOES ANYTHING.
    - There is a discernible tension between people who have been there for decades and new people being brought in to fix what's clearly broken.
    - Senior management is made up of new people who have one foot out the door or people who have been there a while and don't want to change.
    - Good work/good ideas are not welcomed.

    Advice to Management

Current CEO (MS): Pay as much attention to the people in your organization as the retail network! It's great that retailers feel heard, but you have mid and senior managers (i.e.- VPs) who are just hiding out because they're in positions they don't know how to perform.
Raise your standards for the work performed and how people treat each other. The current culture is toxic and people are not doing good work as a result.
