Pros

I have worked at my store for a long time, this job is pretty easy going and fun to work at.

Cons

The pay is not fair in terms of the amount of effort you have to put into getting good sales and the amount of pressure put on you by managers.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Disapproves of CEO

    Pros

The pay is fair, there are good bonuses, company matches some charitable donations, opportunities to manage different areas of responsibility.

    Cons

Senior management is poor. The company is a wholly owned subsidiary of BBY USA and the only concerns of the Canadian management team is in landing quarterly and annual sales results. Community involvement is measured and issued only as necessary to reach the sales goals and is not particularly genuine as it was under management when the company was taken over originally.

    Advice to Management

Best Buy Canada needs to really evaluate what your North Star is. If it is just to achieve sales and profit, you will inevitably manage the company into non-existence as you are cutting corners constantly which impact your customer service and employee satisfaction. If you instead too a benevolent approach to company goals for the customer, community, and employees, sales and profit would foliow for years to come. Now is the time to decide, as the street sees Best Buy as on a life support system and they will pull the plug.

    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

Best buy is a great company to start off to gain some work experience in the latest technologies and gadgets

    Cons

The daily work tasks are redundant and there is a lack of room for growth in terms of career development

    Advice to Management

I would recommend expanding the company departments for innovation growth and development to help foster new and coming business opportunities
