    Disapproves of CEO

    Pros

Depending on location and management, district, regional, director, etc. Best buy can be a fun, fast paced environment with virtually unlimited potential for growth. Best buy promotes from within, has a fair training program for core stores and corporate(not so much with best buy mobile). Great salary, huge monthly, quarterly, and annual bonuses(annual can be upwards of 25k). Benefits, emp. Discount, and overall compensation package.

    Cons

InI recent years, management, in certain areas of the company, are not being held to the standard that Best Buy is known for. Ex. A GM of a store that has missed budget by over a million dollars in a fiscal year, for numerous years, and is one of the highest paid GM's in the area was not reprimanded or even transferred for over 5 years. He collected a great salary as the employee morale, both managers and line level employees tanked.
Working 80+ hours for anyone salaried from sept. Through Jan. Is tough on the body and family.

    Advice to Management

Live and teach the company values as all new employees are expected to learn from their managers and peers. This s what I was taught from day 1 over 10 years ago and I will never forget how much impact it had on my view of "big corporations" and how great it was to see that a company actually cared about it's employees, their family, and overall well-being. That was when I was 18 as a freshman in college with a job being something that I had not experienced. That job turned into a great career and I will never regret working for the company. It's just sad to see how utterly different it has became in every regard in recent months/years. Get back to the basics, innovate, invest in your talent, and best buy will be more likely to survive.

    Disapproves of CEO

    Pros

Employee discount but they even put a cap on that now.
    learn good business ideas
    meet nice coworkers
receive complaints from many customers, also tons of job opportunities from top customers.

    Cons

When managers say you will be rewarded for excelling and meeting your department and store goals then you work hard and hope to see rewards. This is coming from the top performer in all aspects of goals and have not seen a dime of rewards. When 2 months go by of out performing everyone in the store and still no compensations, kind of makes you wonder why Amazon is taking all the best buy customers.

    Advice to Management

When you come to work and the first thing a manager says is "hey we need services and BTP were pretty low today" before they even say hello, great way to run a business. joke
