I have been working at Best Buy full-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

There is a lot of autonomy. You're expected to take things and run with it, with very little training or direction at times. This can be fun and they do reward individuals who are good at this. Great benefits and comp.

    Cons

Engineering direction is constantly fluctuating and is horribly communicated. Employees don't share the vision as it's not outlined well. Lots of negativity.

    Advice to Management

Leadership needs to give people more direction. Everyone should be able to answer questions about where we are going and be able to share your vision. Promote people that have vision for the products.

I have been working at Best Buy full-time for more than 6 years

    Pros

You're surrounded by technology and by people just as interested in it as you are.

    Cons

Number targets can be a pain, especially when it's crunch time and it is constantly berated at you.

    Advice to Management

I understand metrics are an important tool to measure how well an individual is doing, but there needs to be a better way of presenting it to employees. Instead of Being Human, we're being Robotic and it hurts morale.
