I worked at Best Buy full-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

-Usually very flexible with scheduling and allowed for me to be in school while working full time.
-Fun, fast paced environment
-Great employee discount
-Opportunities for personal growth
-Commitment to diversity and inclusiveness that went beyond a statement

Cons

-Entry wages were fairly low compared to cost of living but still met min. wage requirements.
-High turnover with both line-level and managers led to confusion

Advice to Management

The one thing to think about is the level of support and access to on-the-job perks such as gyms, health and childcare at the corporate level vs. the line level. When I worked there I was always confused by the amount of benefits Corp. employees had vs. those in sales.

    Pros

Good benefits if you're full time. Fun Coworkers and social events really make the workplace go around, but you can tell what kind of society it is when you first step foot in the place. There are people who make it their goal to step on you to get that promotion, and there are the good human beings also.

    Cons

Litmus test to gain entrance on to the sales floor staff, let alone the higher echelons of the business. It's all about who you know and how much you sell. If you know the right person and your sales figures are high, you can leave a personal vehicle in a strangers hands and your job security will still be there.

    Advice to Management

They already know where they lack. Many times, however, their hands are tied as to how much can be corrected.
