I have been working at Best Buy full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Very relaxed culture, great people, and results only work environment. There is tons of opportunity to move around and find a role you really like.

    Cons

There are definitely some idiots, and some have made it to positions of considerable influence. The pace of the industry dictates that you have to stamp out a lot of fires.

    Advice to Management

Pay higher salary to attract better talent

I worked at Best Buy full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Simple job very straight foward.

    Cons

Too heavy a focus on Sales. Not the customer centered sale culture they put forward. They use sale floor personnel to staff Geek Squad with techs. These people have no tech experience at all, and therefore hinder the ability to pure real techs to preform their jobs propperly.

    Advice to Management

Hire real PC techs and do not staff Geek Squad with pure sales staff with no experience. This puts a foul stain on the image that you want to present to the customer as a one stop worry free service department.
