I have been working at Best Buy full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

ROWE program - ability to work from anywhere and have own hours
    Great campus
    Very laid-back environment

    Cons

ROWE has gone too far in some areas. I could go for 2 weeks at a time without seeing anyone who reports to me because they didn't need to show up at the office. Makes collaboration difficult.

Need to rethink the dress code - yoga pants do not belong in the office!

Don't expect to get promoted if you're smart and work hard. You only get promoted 1 of 3 ways: a director or vp likes you, you are active on social media and tell everyone about it, or you threaten to leave.

    Advice to Management

All of our good people are leaving, and if you haven't noticed, it's really hard to get outsiders to apply. Get digital leaders within dotcom who actually understand how to use the technology they're selling.

I worked at Best Buy part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The other associates were great to work with. Location was close to home. For the most part, the customers were fun to deal with

    Cons

Wanted full time, was given part time after being told no full time was available. 2 weeks later, they hired someone on full time. After getting 34hrs/week during the holiday season, was cut to 15hrs/week. High turnover in area management.
