I have been working at Best Buy full-time (More than a year)

Pros

This company really supports its employees in numerous ways. It works with you on hours for college, college tuition reimbursement, health benefits. Its great to feel like someone has my back.

Cons

Lots of missed communication can lead to terrible results (all of which can be fixed if you speak up)

Advice to Management

Give more positive feedback, I'm number one in sales almost every month, and I always feel like I just can't do enough to get a "good job" out of you guys.

decent employee discount on cool stuff
    normally positive atmosphere
    good first job

    Cons

    Its Retail
your Supervisor is almost always difficult to work with
Best Buy doesnt like to fire their employees, so you get some stupid people working there
Internal Systems are chaotic and unfriendly

    Advice to Management

Stop trying to micromanage your business and train your employees with the ability to be innovative. perhaps also dont hire just anyone for a sales position...

I worked at Best Buy part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Like mentioned, it was an easy job. Best Buy does a decent job of keeping their employees informed and provide them with the necessary tools and information to do their jobs. It is decent pay and definitely helped out while weighing out being a full-time student.

    Cons

The hierarchy. I was never interested, but I knew many people who had spent their lifetimes aiming at promotions and were always denied the opportunity for whatever pity reason. The micro management can also be excessive.

    Advice to Management

Many of today's successful companies make sure they remember one thing that is vital to success: employee happiness and satisfaction. A happy employee is a good employee.
